Mr. Multimedia USA Official Blog _________________________________________________
= Updated and backed up my archived blogs. I may addan archive page sometime in the future...
= Sports update: Chargers ended up 8-8 (no playoffs), although they did snap a 3-game losing streak against da Raiders on the last week of the regular season. Lakers are mediocre right now (new coach Mike Brown is trying to teach an old dog new tricks, in my humble opinion). Indiana is still ranked, although they've lost 3 game in Big Ten conference play (including a somewhat embarrassing loss to the Buckeyes at Ohio State). Ohio State still looks like the toast of the Big Ten. Dodgers are in the midst of trying to sign ace Clayton Kershaw (they've already signed Matt Kemp, Andre Either and James Loney).
= Happy Anniversary! 11 years since StaticEclipse.com was established.
= Another curious turn of events has been the retreat of our country from space. It's like we're scared to move forward on it. What gives? Alpha Centauri is still the primary objective and that won't change as long as you and I (and our children's children) live. There is not much to be gained elsewhere in our solar system. Total stagnation in this area.
= Oh yeah... I almost forgot... it is still happening...
= In other news, I continue to find it absolutely bizarre and somewhat comical that the world can't seem to push through it's economic and political problems. It's coming up on 11 years since I launched this site in an effort to disseminate information through the forum of entertainment. I have backed off my 'aggressive tone' in the hopes that y'all would move through your obstinate arrogance. 11 years to figure it out, and most of y'all are still talking about the same problems, trying the same tired tactics and still wondering why things haven't improved. Still 'busy'? Haha... this is turning out to be quite an experience.
= The Buckeyes also hired former Florida head coach Urban Meyer to take over the football program (more good news).
= Ohio State is ranked No. 2 in college basketball and just beat Duke. Indiana is off to a 7-0 start and just beat NC State. Also, UNLV knocked off North Carolina (No. 1 at the time), so the basketball season is off to a good start (for me).
= The NBA has finally resolved the lockout. The season is scheduled to begin Dec. 25 and go for 66 games. We'll see how the Lake Show does and if they finally make some moves to secure a successful future (Chris Paul and Dwight Howard are two names being mentioned).
= The Chargers have become the laughingstock of the NFL with a 6 game losing streak (most of them one score games). Terrible time management, injuries, bad play calling, turnovers... you name it. Damn, I thought the worst was behind this team after we lost all of our star power (Brees, Michael Turner, Merriman, Cromartie, Sproles)... I guess I was wrong again. When will management get out of the fog, hire a legitimate coach, move the team to Los Angeles and start to play better football? Looks like never from what I see...
= Hyped for college basketball (especially since the NBA is still in a lockout). UCLA, Ohio State, UNLV, Long Beach State, UC-Santa Barbara (alma mater)...
= Lakers got swept in the 2nd round by the Mavs. Game 4 was a total blowout. What a disappointing end to the season (and to Phil Jackson's career). We'll see what goes down in the off-season...
= After a hot start, the Dodgers are hovering around .500 early in the 2011 season. New manager Don Mattingly appears comfortable in the dug out. P Clayton Kershaw looks like a legit ace, and Matt Kemp has gotten off to a fast start. Offseason acquisition Juan Uribe has underperformed so far. New C Rod Barajas has provided some pop at the plate. Hope the season goes well for the Dodge Squad.
= If we're so 'broke', how come things haven't come apart by now? People have been pushing the 'we're broke' routine for a while, now. Don't forget, the U.S. has generated over $42 trillion dollars over the past 3 years alone. What gives?
= Lakers end up with the #2 seed for the Western ConferencePlayoffs. The are trailing New Orleans in their first round series, 1-0.
= Lakers now 1.5 games behind the Spurs for the #1 overall record (and home court advantage throughout) with less than 10 to play. Lakers will host Spurs one time before the end of the season. = You can connect with Mr. Multimedia USA on
